Splitting an image is useful for tiled layouts, sequential social posts, or preparing pieces for another design. Decide on the number of rows and columns first, then check the output order before publishing.
Choose a grid that fits the artwork
Equal divisions work best when the source image has enough pixels for every piece. For a three-column layout, for example, the source width should divide cleanly or you should expect edge pieces to differ by a pixel.
- Select a clear source image.
- Set the desired number of rows and columns.
- Preview the grid and adjust it to avoid cutting through important details.
- Export the pieces and verify their order and dimensions.
Keep in mind: For a seamless tiled post, publish the pieces in the order required by the destination platform.
